Obituary of Cindy Brace

Cindy M. Brace, 68, of Chico, CA made her way to Heaven on August 31, 2021.  She was born January 8, 1953 in Los Angeles, CA to Harold & Patricia Cleary (Lynott).

Cindy attended Westmister High School, participated in the Drill Team and Debate Team, and graduated in 1971. Cindy worked as a dispatcher for Westminster Police Department, earned optometry & ophthalmology medical assistant certificates and enjoyed a 25 year career servicing as a back office technician, attending to patients and assisting in surgery.  She even recruited her daughter, son, and daughter-in-law to join her in the fun at Chico Eye Center!

Cindy met the love of her life and quickly fell for the biker with the sweet smile and kind eyes.  Steve and Cindy married on August 26, 1995 and enjoyed 26 years of riding Harleys, hosting parties (St. Patti's!), rooting on her team (Go Pack, Go!), and adventuring with friends.

Cindy had a big heart and a contagious smile.  She was often cranking the music and dancing while cooking, cleaning, driving or singing karaoke (any & all BonJovi, "Ride Sally, Ride", & "Born to be Wild" were a few of her favorites to belt out loudly).

Cindy was loved by all and will be missed greatly!

Cindy is survived by her loving & devoted husband, Steve Brace; sons Michael (Niki) Jones of Chico, CA and Stephen Brace, Jr. of Sacramento, CA; daughters Stefanie (Matt) Zimmerman of La Pine, OR, LeeAnn (Jeff) of Sacramento, CA, and Jennifer (Quinton) of UT; grandchildren Tyler, Ryan, Declan, Paige, Anthony, Mysta, and Quinton; great-grandson Valen; and life long best friends/sisters Judi Massey of Biggs, CA and Bonnie Hamelin of San Diego, CA.

Cindy's greatest joy in life was her family. She was proud to be a Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma.

Cindy's favorite movie line was "every time a bell rings, an angel gets its wings!"

Well, you sure got yours! May you fly free, enjoy embracing all those that you have missed so deeply (especially your beloved Dad who must be beaming to see his CeeCee), and rest in peace knowing that you are SO loved by all!

Until we meet again, our memories will carry us through.

We love you!
