Albert Palmer

Obituary of Albert David Palmer

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Albert David Palmer. He left his body around midnight on July 16, 2022, at his home in Chico, California and is peacefully traveling onto his next destination. Cancer took his body as he was surrounded with love and compassion by his family Nate Palmer, Holly Palmer, and wife Amber Palmer - and is survived by his three younger sisters Charee Keenan, Crystal Roche and Tasha Bollinger.

His sisters are thankful for their older brother and the love that he gave them. David considered himself a rich man as he loved, protected and guided his family and the extended family he "adopted" along the way. His energy and love continues to reside with us. If you knew him you saw beyond his crusty exterior and realized he loved with all his heart. Having been a firefighter for 30 years for the Cal Fire, Department of Forestry, he was passionate about saving this planet and protective of the rights and fair justice of all life on earth. He continued to be a strong promoter of civil rights and was a member of the ACLU, the Planetary Society, Green peace and several other environmental protective movements, David will be sorely missed by his community and his loved ones.

You are invited to a celebration of life being planned for Sunday, October 2nd from 2pm-5pm. There will be a memorial tribute followed by a celebration of life with music and storytelling. We will send more information when we know more of the details. In the mean time play some music by the Band, Moby Grape, Roy Orbison or a little Clapton and rock out to old memories with David.
