Obituary of Vivian Millicent Pero

Vivian M. Pero Vivian Millicent Pero, 88, of Chico, CA passed away on March 9, 2008 at a care facility in Chico. She was born on June 7, 1919 in Chico to David and Blanche Moody. Vivian was the valedictorian at Chico Central School; she was the first female to receive this honor. She attended Chico High School, Class of 1937. She was married to Jerry Pero for 52 years. Her proudest and most cherished accomplishment was being a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Buzbee (Budd) of Chico, and Barbara Gutierrez (Ray) of Woodland, CA; two sons, Rick Pero of Paradise, and Jerry Pero (Vicki) of Chico; her sister, Berniece Abbott of Chico; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, and her siblings, Doris Huston and Darrell Moody. Per Vivian's request there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in care of Affordable Mortuary who are handling the arrangements.
