Obituary of Donald Clair Stewart

Donald Clair Stewart, 75, of Oroville, California, was born November 20, 1933 to Eva Alice Rice and Royal Kenneth Stewart in WaKeeny, Kansas. Don leaves sisters, Dorothy "Dottee" Shuman of Oroville, CA and Sharon Stewart-Peronia of Rainier, OR; brother, Richard D. Stewart of Oroville and brother-in-law, Dale Gray of Oroville. Don also leaves behind lots of nieces and nephews, in Oroville are Brian Silence, Amber Silence, CJ Barlow and Crystal Silence. Donald's parents, brothers, Leroy and Dean Stewart; sister, Dena Gray and sister-in-law, Ruby Constant preceded him in being called home. Don was deaf from the age of five, he also broke his right arm and developed gangrene which left it deformed. Neither of these things slowed him from doing the things in life. He had a love of the great outdoors and for family; fishing and wolves were his passion. He retired from Goodwill Industries in Denver, CO after forty years, came to live in Oroville to be close to family and the outdoors he loved. Don's interment will be at Dixon Cemetery in Dixon, CA.
