Obituary of Lucille Pearson Weissinger

Lucille Pearson Weissinger Lucille Weissinger, long-time Columbus resident, died January 29th after a short illness in California. Family and friends will gather at Chapel of the Pines at Parkhill Cemetery at 1:00 PM on Saturday, Feb. 7th. Burial will take place at 2:00 PM in the Garden of the Last Supper, next to her husband, Charles Henry Weissinger. Lucille Weissinger, daughter of Henry Walter Pearson and Connie Colquitt Pearson, was born in Grangerville Ga. in 1914. Her family later moved to Columbus, where she married Henry Weissinger in 1937. She was a long-time resident of 1910 17th Avenue and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School. In 1999 she moved to California and resided with her son, James, in Berry Creek, CA. Lucille is survived by her sons, James and Walter, and by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all who know her for her infallible kindness and her warm sense of humor.
