Obituary of Decloise E. Kinne

Decloise E. Kinne 1922 – 2008 Decloise (Dick) Kinne finished the good race here on earth, in his home, with his wife and family at his side, after a lengthy illness. He now resides peacefully and with joy with his Savior Jesus Christ. Dick was a patriot and decorated paratrooper in the 82nd airborne during WWII, with 200 jumps to his credit, including a jump during the Battle of the Bulge. He was a Disney artist and a retired Aerospace Project Inspector with Lockheed in Sunnyvale. Dick was a master model ship builder with hand carved displays in the maritime museum in Los Angeles as well as a creator of yard art and gardener extraordinaire. He loved dancing with his wife, June, in the moonlight, even if it just meant chair dancing. He was known for his jolly way of bringing laughter and joy to others, was always kind and patient and was an impeccable role model of what a father and husband should be, to his sons. Dick leaves behind a legacy of love with his wife of thirty-nine years, June V. Kinne; his sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Sheryle McAlister, Larry and Leslie McAlister and Rick and P.J. McAlister. He also leaves love and tender memories with his nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A memorial will be held at the Kinne home in Chico for family and friends on Saturday, April 5, 2008 between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Donations are encouraged to be made to Butte Home Health and Hospice in Dick’s name.
