Obituary of Darlene Ethel Whitmarsh

She fought the cancer until she was weak and tired. Darlene went to sleep for the last time on Sunday, July 26, 2009 at home in her bed. Born at home on December 12, 1931, she grew up with three brothers; Clyde, Wayne, and Jack Clifton in the Grape Country of Acampo, near Lodi CA. Left behind is her husband, Glenn Whitmarsh; son Denny Eaton and his wife Gaye; Rick Whitmarsh; granddaughter Denalee (Eaton) Valler and husband Nick; Grandson Denver (& Julie) Eaton and their daughters Madison and Annabella. Darlene attended school at Lodi Academy and later joined her mother in the field of ceramics and mastered the art of China Painting. From Acampo to Willows to Chico she assisted in Dentistry for several years before getting her Real Estate License. After retiring she nested in her home in Paradise Pines with her husband, watched birds, germinated flower seeds, and made beautiful quilts. A memorial service is planned for Sunday, August 2, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church on Hooker Oak.
