Obituary of Tony Jay Selfridge

Dearly Loved Husband, Son, Brother and FriendTony Jay Selfridge born on April 10, 1975, passed away at home on December 19, 2008, after a long and courageous battle with a brain tumor. Tony was born in Redding, Ca where he graduated from Enterprise High School, after which he enjoyed a long employment at Raley’s on Lake Boulevard.Tony loved visiting the ocean and immensely enjoyed NASCAR, especially when Jeff Gordon was in the lead. He was an avid movie buff who could “out trivia” the best of us. Tony’s sense of humor made everyone smile, and he always had a wisecrack for everything. Everyone who was lucky enough to know him had their lives blessed by his kind nature, playful outlook on life and selfless nature.Tony is survived by his wife Laura, his mother Trudy and stepfather Tom Small of Redding, his father Tim Selfridge of Washington, his brother Tim and wife Regina Selfridge and their children Dakota and Tracy, his brother Ted Small, his Grandma Lee Huber, many beloved Aunts and Uncles and his 3 “cat kids” Sinatra, Frankie and Iggy.The memorial service will be held on January 3, 2009 at 11am at the Palo Cedro Community Church, 9387 Deschutes Road, Palo Cedro CA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tony’s name to the Enloe Hospice fund c/o Pat Waters, 1390 East Lassen Avenue, Chico, CA 95973.
