Obituary of Lonnie Allen Wagoner

Lonnie A. Wagoner entered eternal rest on August 22, 2023.  Lonnie was born at Enloe Hospital in Chico, California on September 24, 1944.  He was the youngest of five brothers.  He attended Chico High School, Class of 1963.  After High School, Lonnie worked at Diamond Match Company and later started his own yard maintenance company (Lonnie’s Yard Maintenance).  He also enjoyed woodworking making wooden folk-art animals.  He displayed his work at many craft fairs in California. Lonnie served in the National Guard from 1965 to 1971.  Lonnie enjoyed sports, playing softball on the Mathew’s Conveyer team.   He coached baseball for the Durham Little League team.  He was involved with Brian and Tina’s activities (basketball, baseball, softball, football, swim team, cheerleading, etc.).  He was an avid Oakland Raiders fan and collected their memorabilia.  He enjoyed attending the Silver Dollar Speedway races.  He had a love for gardening which prompted him to start the yard maintenance business.

 

Lonnie is survived by his son, Brian (Jacinta) Wagoner; daughter, Tina Bramson; and three grandchildren, Aoife Fisher, Ella Bramson, and Owen Bramson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brothers, John, David, Ronald, and Tim Wagoner.  He also leaves his beloved dog, Chico.

 

The family would like to thank Enloe Hospice, Lori and Alicia Beckman for providing caregiving to Lonnie.

 

Lonnie will be laid to rest at Chico Cemetery.
