Obituary of Linda Marie Fiack

Linda Marie Fiack, 74, passed away with close family present on November 25, 2023, in Chico, CA.

Linda was born on September 11, 1949, to Jean and Mike Marcu in Franklin Township, Pennsylvania. In 1955, when Linda was 6 years old, the Marcus moved to Monterey Park, CA. The second of six children, she grew up in a full house with a loving family. She moved to Davis, CA in 1972 at the age of 22, where she met Jim Fiack. They were married in 1977 and had two daughters, whom they raised in the Capay District for 16 years. Linda worked as a resource teacher at her daughters’ elementary school. The family moved to Chico in 1996 and Linda transitioned out of education to work in the healthcare industry for Option Care. She resided in Chico for the remainder of her life.

Linda was an excellent cook and enjoyed doing crafts of all sorts. She also had a green thumb, and her home was full of blooming plants and softly ringing windchimes. Linda had a sweet, loving personality and was the type of person who could make a friend in the grocery store. Her family will cherish her delicious recipes, cozy crocheted blankets, handmade scrapbooks, and elegant handwriting. She loved visiting her daughters and their families, shopping at Uptown Vintage & Shabby, playing bunco, and talking about her grandkids.

Linda is survived by her daughters Shannon O’Loughlin and Erin Roberts, Jim, five grandchildren, and five siblings. She was very loved and will be terribly missed. We were blessed to have her as a mother, wife, sister, and friend.

A celebration of life will be held in early spring in Chico, CA.
